Hello! We're so glad you're here!
I am Pastor Che' (sounds like Shay) Weber and this is my husband, Stephen.
We live in the beautiful Pocono Mountains near Lake Wallenpaupack and our community is where we live, work & play. Our church family is just that: our FAMILY! Many of our neighbours are our friends and family. Because of that, we believe that relationships are very important.
Our motto is, "It's not about religion. It's about relationship!" Faith is not just religion to us, it is a way of life. It takes a relationship with Jesus Christ and with other people to make it through this life. No one can make it all alone. We also know that life was given to us for a purpose, so we help each other to find a place to serve and use our God-given gifts. We know that in these difficult days relationships with God and one another will help us to not only survive, but to THRIVE! Faith gives us hope and we believe that Christ's love compels us to live for Him by serving others. (2 Corinthians 5:14-15) There is more to life than making a living and just getting by. Come discover a new way of living and joy in living it!
We look forward to your visit and we'll save you a seat! You might like it so much that you decide to become part of the family, too. You are always welcome at First Assembly of God in Greentown!
"God loves each of us as if there were only one of us."
St. Augustine
Join us from Noon to 3 on TUESDAY 12th & 26th in May for Game Day!
We'll be playing Scrabble, Dominoes, Cards and Board Games while we talk and make a new friend or 2. Just bring your favorite game (we'll have a few here, too) and a bagged lunch to eat while we play. There is no charge and no obligations.
THEN...
On FRIDAY the 8th & 22nd at 7:00 PM it's MOVIE NIGHT!
Come out for a FREE NIGHT at the MOVIES with a family friendly, air conditioned family atmosphere.
Bring a snack to share, if you can (like mini candy bars or granola bars, pretzels or fruit, etc.). We share everything from the snack table and then enjoy an old version Warner Brothers Bugs Bunny short before a full length feature film. Call the Church at 676-4464 to hear that week's title film. All are welcome to come and enjoy!
